Linley is a family-run business employing ten staff and have expanded our workshop space several fold over the past few years. We believe that our company is one of the largest of its type and by far one of the most capable.

The company was established in 1975. We are dedicated to authenticity, traditional methods and techniques, and abide by a rigorous yet dynamic conservation philosophy. Combining this tradition with advances in new technology and an understanding of the demands of modern construction, Linley Studios rank amongst the most respected conservators-restorers and producers of high quality fine art glass in the UK.

Linley have extensive and well equiped studios, workshops and design spaces which have expanded and developed over many years. We are one of the largest glass studios of its kind in the UK, allowing us to accept demanding larger contracts whilst still being able to accommodate smaller works. All our individual projects are managed inhouse from start to finish, but we are also highly experienced as regards being part of much larger teams working together on large bulding projects.

There are three highly skilled groups at the studio. The first is a group of professional artists with long-standing experience. The second group is made up of glass craftsmen and women chosen for their technical ability and skillful exectution of window construction. The third group are meticulous on-site (CSCS qualified) stained glass glaziers, responsible for the removal and reinstallation of windows. Linley is based on the border of Wales and England, well placed for access to all parts of the UK, close to most major motorway links.

Linley is a member of: Achilles Pre-quallification System; HHA Historic Houses Association; LPOC Listed Property Owners Club. Our staff are members of the Institute of Conservation, the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, SPAB, and the BSMGP.

Linley has worked with: English Heritage, Cadw, The National Trust, and County Councils at locations across the UK, in addition to specialist contractors such as Chester Masonry, The Linford Group and McAlpine as part of large-scale building works. Linley has also carried out projects for very high profile clients and is adept at handling media enquiries and privacy agreements.
