Welcome to our website. Linley Stained Glass repairs, restores, conserves and creates stained glass, leaded lights and art glass. The principal element of our work is ecclesiastical conservation-restoration, but we also undertake domestic and commercial projects, from repairs to traditional architectural features, to the design and creation of contemporary art-glass installations using more modern processes. We also design, make and install protective guards and restore metalwork such as cast frames and church hoppers.
Our staff are academically and professionally qualified in a range of specialisms including glass conservation & restoration, architectural glass, art & design, glass production and metalwork. Add to this our traditional practical skills and we make for a formidable team.
We have two vacancies at present. Click here for more information [pdf file].
New for Spring 2008 are our range of courses run at our studio in Hawarden, Chester. A full schedule is available for download here.
Whatever brought you to our website, we're positive we can fulfil your requirements. Have a look through our portfolio, and if you missed us on Channel 4's Grand Designs series in February 2008, it is repeated on More 4 most weeks through 2008 [The Gothic Monmouth Build].
Also have a look at our new StudioCam [link] a live webcam in our studio where you can watch us restoring windows from Chester Cathedral.
On 21st, 22nd & 23rd February 2008, Linley exhibited at the Christian Resources Exhibition [link] at the International Centre, Telford. We demonstrated our skills on stands A4 & A6 during all three days and talked ourselves horse to 4000 people! We will be exhibiting again in September, details to follow.
